Wendy Hembree-Graham, Co-Founder & Director of
JonBre' European Spa
Wendy, the Director and Co-Founder of the Life Enrichment Center's exclusive Day Spa, JonBre’ European Spa has been working in various areas of the Life Enrichment Center, Inc. and the Institute of Health & Healing since 2001. As the daughter of Tery Hembree, she has become very familiar with every aspect of the LEC/IHH and management. Wendy co-founded JonBre’ European Spa in 2004 and has been the Spa’s Director since that time. Wendy has served JonBre’ European Spa with both a culmination and manifestation of her experience and commitment to, familial and collective achievement. As Director of JonBre’ European Spa, Wendy has been able to experience the gratification of knowing that it is possible to make a real, invaluable and permanent change in people’s lives. Whether it has been training Spa Technicians to work with our clients, enabling an individual to attend and enjoy a workshop experience for the first time, or encouraging a staff member to take on a new and challenging role, her work has been a source of challenge and healing, and has compelled her to continue reaching out for other opportunities that “make a difference.” Wendy invites you to stop by and "Experience the Difference" with JonBre' European Spa.
Sandra S. Shaw, Director of Education of the IHH
Sandra has served the Life Enrichment Center, Inc. and the Institute of Health & Healing since 2000, holding several positions of increasing responsibility prior to her appointment in 2006 to the Director of Education for the Institute. Sandra has had many years of experience assisting the President of the Life Enrichment Center Inc. and the Institute of Health & Healing in many areas of growth. She has served as the IHH Director of Education and has been a key component in the development of many of the programs in the curriculum. She holds a M.ED. degree from the University of Kentucky and is a Licensed Esthetician, Instructor and Image Consultant. As Director of Education, Sandra will assist you from enrollment through graduation.
Harlene O'Sullivan, Records Manager
Harlene joined the Institute of Health & Healing in 2002 from the Virginia Academy of Massage Therapy. Harlene holds a B.A. and has brought many years experience in the healthcare and education field to the IHH as the Records Management Clerk. She was subsequently promoted to the position of Records Manager and has served as the Institute's Student Relations Officer and is overseeing the office of Alumni Relations managing the student and alumni records. Her husband Bill has been known to keep our offices in "Tip Top" shape.
Julie Ingalls, Esthetician Coordinator
Julie shares the responsibilities of overseeing the esthetician student’s records and admissions with Sandra and Harlene. She helps with inquiries from our students regarding orientation, school requirements, transcripts and general information. Julie's attention to detail is essential when managing our student's records. As a graduate from the Institute of Health & Healing’s Professional Esthetician Program and the Nail Technician Program, Julie’s experience and knowledge is extremely helpful to both our students and staff. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is a License Esthetician and Instructor.
Cindy Marshall, Educational Assistant
In 2003, Cindy graduated from the Institute of Health & Healing's Massage Therapy program. Cindy has since come back to the IHH and with her she brings her knowledge to support the staff as well as the students. Her experience as an alumnus lends to her compassionate and caring attitude with our students and their needs. Cindy also assists the reception staff and she always wears a smile.
Sandy Gierke, Clinic Manager
Sandy is one of our Clinic Managers for the IHH and joined us from the Virginia Academy of Massage Therapy in 2002. Sandy’s wealth of knowledge in the customer service and health industry provides a unique resource and support. Most importantly, she is a very accomplished individual who is committed to helping others develop their unique skills. We are pleased to have Sandy with her Medical Assistant's background, as part of our amazing team here at the IHH. Her experience is unparalleled.
Carol Ivy, Clinic Manager
Carol is also one of our Clinic Managers and oversees our Sales and Marketing Department. As a Nationally and State Certified Massage Therapist, a Licensed Master Esthetician and Instructor we are quite proud having Carol as an alumnus of the Institute of Health and Healing. Carol works out of our Newport News office and she has been raising the bar since her first day. Carol's continuous efforts to ensure that our clients get the best possible service and our students the best possible care, is nothing short of remarkable!
Dee Dee Pinkney, Clinic Receptionist
Dee Dee is one of our Clinic Receptionists and comes to IHH with over 20 years experience in various aspects of customer service. She has extensive experience working closely with clients as a customer service representative to assist in the implementation of client care. Dee Dee firmly believes that real success is achieved only when the client is happy. It is this ideology that Dee Dee brings to the IHH which helps her to easily guide our clients toward a level of peace and well-being on an ongoing basis. Dee Dee is certainly a blessing to our team.
Miranda Donahoo, Clinic Receptionist
Miranda is one of our Clinic Receptionists and comes to the IHH as a Massage Student and brings with her maturity beyond her years. Her organizational skills and quick learning capacity make Miranda a fabulous new addition to our Front Desk team. Miranda understands the need to get our students through the program all the while making our clients happy to be here at the IHH. Miranda spreads her own joy to everyone who meets her and we are thankful for her.
The Institute of Health & Healing is certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and is a Licensed School by the Virginia Board for Barbers and Cosmetology.
